The challenge
It was critical that we match existing finishes and nestle a material addition into the existing setting while hemmed in by existing grades and stately trees protecting this sites cherished privacy and setting.

The solution
We carefully assembled trades and materials matching a cedar shake roof installed ten years ago, with copper accents. Matching existing siding detailing and expanding outdoor gathering spaces.  This home has been a family escape for years... This charming cottage was preserved in feeling, while this carefully planned addition helped it grow to accommodate the expanding extended family providing all a comfortable place to stay, a new master suite and making room for a cellar to a lovely wine collection.
